About SilentSigns

“Disability is natural. We must stop believing that disabilities keep a person from doing something. Because that's not true . . . Having a disability doesn't stop me from doing anything.” - Benjamin Snow, Grade 8, Woodland Park, Colorado, in an essay entitled "Attitudes About People with Disabilities"

Silent Signs is an awareness campaign which aims to raise awareness within both the working and social environment. I want to encourage employers and business owners to be more aware of hidden disabilities. The aim is to make the workplace a happier place for everyone. I believe that a happy work environment can greatly improve our wellbeing. Hidden disability can affect us all either directly or indirectly. It is not about wanting to be treated differently it’s about being treated equally irrespective of personal circumstance. The images below represent a number of people who have or have experienced invisible disability. The images are relatively small but they represent the bigger picture.
